Volunteering at Kodomo no Hi
Without your help we could not have this fun cultural event. If you would like to assist at the Kodomo no Hi celebration please contact Mike Dunphy or our volunteer coordinator Lauren McAllister. Lauren can be contacted at laurenureshii at hotmail dot com or by mobile (0433 259 964).
There will be a meeting at Cowandilla Primary School, 21 Jenkins St, Cowandilla, this Saturday (April 19) 10:30-12. At the meeting you will have the chance to see the venue, meet other volunteers, find out what duties you'll be performing at the festival and ask any questions you may have. If anyone has free time after the meeting, we also need a few people to help make signs for the festival. The school is very easy to get to by bus. From the city, take the J1 or J3 bus (the airport buses), which stop on the southern side of Grenfell and Currie St. There's a bus every 15 minutes. The closest stop is 6 on Sir Donald Bradman Dr, although the stop before (stop 5c) is also a very short walk to the school.
