Softball SA to host Aussie Spirit vs DENSO

Softball SA is excited to announce it will play host to a two day tournament between the Aussie Spirit and Japanese Professional Softball Team, the DENSO Bright Pegasus, in January 2018.

The DENSO Bright Pegasus will spend four days in Adelaide for their Spring Training Camp at Softball SA headquarters in West Beach, prior to an Australia Day weekend series against the

Australian Open Women’s softball team. The series will feature two games on Saturday the 27th of January and a further two games on Sunday the 28th.

The Japanese Professional Team consists of some of the world’s best softballers, including players who represented the 2016 Japanese World Championship silver medal team and the 2008 Olympic gold medal team.

The Aussie Spirit will bring the best players in the country, with the newly named team to be announced in early January following the Open Women’s National Championship.

South Australia currently has four athletes in the Australian Squad; Maddie Cameron, Chelsea Robinson, Jordan Lambert and Belinda White.

With Japan currently ranked World Number 1 in softball, the Australia Day feature event will be sure to display some of the best competition ever seen in South Australia.
