JAFA is looking for artists of all ages and interests to enter an exciting competition to design the poster that will be the face of JAFA’s next “Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival”.
This festival regularly attracts thousands of visitors and has become one of the most popular events on Adelaide’s Japanese cultural calendar. The winner’s name and design will be proudly displayed at the festival.
The poster should include artwork that will be used as the representative image of the 2012 festival.
Click here to download a copy of the competition rules and to view some past posters, or read on...
The poster must also include the following text:
Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival
Family Fun Day
OR
KODOMO NO HI JAPAN FESTIVAL
FAMILY FUN DAY
Please note carefully the capitalisation of certain letters.
The winning design will be the most eye catching and original image that best represents the festival thematically. Entries with a Japanese theme are expected to be culturally accurate. It is crucial that the design is not culturally inappropriate, as we will be unable to use the design. If in doubt, please check your design with a Japanese native.
Your image can be created on the computer, painted, drawn... anything that we can print. Then scan it and send the artwork as a JPEG image.
Poster submission
Submission closes on December 1st, 2011, at 11:59 PM Adelaide time.
